VEGA Americas, Inc. expands production facility

VEGA celebrates the grand opening of a 120,000-square-foot expansion to its U.S. headquarters in Mason, Ohio. The addition doubles the size of VEGA’s advanced production facility and represents a significant economic investment. The project will initially add 31 new full-time jobs, with additional positions to be added as production increases.

The expansion enables VEGA to domestically produce electronic components that were previously imported from the company’s global headquarters in Schiltach, Germany. This move strengthens the company’s U.S. supply chain while reducing overseas shipping and advancing VEGA’s corporate objective of becoming carbon neutral by 2033.

“This expansion is a strategic step toward our long-term vision,” said John Groom, president and CEO of VEGA Americas. “Our goal is to manufacture 85% of our total product portfolio within two manufacturing days by 2027. This target is not just about speed, it is about responsiveness, sustainability, and giving our domestic customers what they need, when they need it.”

“By producing our own electronics domestically, we strengthen our supply chain, support sustainability, and get products into customers’ hands faster,” said Scott Rollman, vice president of administration. “This approach positions us for future growth by increasing domestic sourcing so we can deliver on our reputation for rapid, customer-driven solutions.”

“VEGA Americas has long been a valued part of Ohio’s advanced manufacturing landscape, combining precision technology with a strong commitment to sustainability and community,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “This major expansion is boosting VEGA’s production, adding 31 new jobs and strengthening its domestic supply chain, further cementing Southwest Ohio’s reputation as a hub for innovation and manufacturing excellence.”
