With OT200 Baumer has developed a compact time-of-flight sensor that is characterized by a small blind zone range (<2 mm on ultra black), at long range (up to 2 meters), in miniature design. Like the slightly larger OT330, OT200 offers easy installation and low maintenance. OT330 features a long range up to 2.5 meters, and thanks to the excellent price-performance ratio is a particularly efficient all-rounder in multifaceted applications.
The ToF sensors stand out with extreme user friendliness at any engineering stage. This is ensured by the proven Baumer 3D CAD data with integrated beam path, the qTarget feature for optical axis alignment, and the convenient and reproducible teaching feature qTeach. The SmartReflect variants (light barrier without reflector) are particularly efficient since they do not require any reflector that has to be installed and maintained, which is a further reduction to the total cost of ownership. The Alignment Guide, a red LED beam for easy infrared laser alignment, is another valuable tool. The infrared laser is less dependent on color, surface, structure, and ambient light, and its more resilient against dust, smoke, and spray.
Time-of-flight sensors are appropriate for detecting light-absorbing and reflective objects of any shape or structure. They reliably detect any object geometry from virtually any angle and installation position. The new Baumer ToF sensors with special optics and sophisticated algorithms take this technology to the next level. Typical applications can be found in intralogistics, equipment engineering, as well as wafer and semiconductor production.
